I'm super confused right now. I told my current ob-gyn that I was ttc and wanted to know if she wanted to see me before or after I conceive. She told me the basics of what she wanted me to know before hand, which is what I wanted cause I didn't want to go in for a preconception appointment. (it seemed medically unnecessary seeing that I'm healthy and I had read a lot about what happens during the preconception appointments).

So I called her back today to set up my first appointment and the receptionist told me that she no longer does OB work...huh? Why wouldn't she mention this when I called her less than 2 months ago??

Now I am sitting here, everyone I know/trust in this town is single and childless and don't know how to get any recommendations. I mean, I haven't even told my parents yet, why would I call an acquaintance to ask them for an OB rec?

My current (OB)-gyn, or what ever she is, is calling me back to give me some names, but I'm not sure I want to trust her recommendations since she couldn't be upfront with me when I called her about all this the first time.

What would you do in this situation? Do you know of any dr review web pages that could help me in my search??

TIA!
