we had one for both of our other babies, and i plan on having one this time. the same people threw our last 2, so i don't want them to feel obligated to do it this time around. hubby said he would do it lol, since now we live in a house we have somewhere to have it. plus my closest friend said she would help organize it.
Wife to Javier

Hmmm I would seriously doubt it. I had a shower with my last baby & that was the first shower I had ever had. That said I am totally fine with that, I have never expected to have a shower, period.

Personally it is only very recently that I have started to warm to the idea of baby showers. I have seen women online get very nasty/ungrateful about their showers & it has definately jaded me some.

I'm kind of thinking about it but I feel a little wierd because I wouldn't know who to invite. Maybe if I had one just for people at work that would be OK because they weren't there for my first two. I just wouldn't want people to feel obligated to buy gifts, since I've had two showers. The other problem is that my kids are pretty far apart (will be 9 years from my oldest and 5 years from the youngest). We didn't save anything big because we didn't have room to store it. We have clothesand cloth diapers, but no crib, swing, stroller or anything like that. And we will need a carseat. But we can also afford to buy those things ourselves, if we space it all out somewhat.....but I do want a party for this baby. Maybe a BBQ after the baby is born would be the way to go.
