What is the one thing that has surprised you about pregnancy/conception so far? What is the one thing no one ever told you?

The indigestion

Everyone is so busy talking about the nausea and heart burn, that I never realized how closely related all that is to digestion! (duh! lol)

It seriously takes me hours for a meal to "go down", I just feel it all sitting there I'm in complete discomfort the whole time.... SIGHHHH

I'm surprised at how fast I got pregnant this time around!! My other two kids took 1.5-2 years and now 5 months after I had my baby I am pregnant. We were trying but I had no idea it would happen in a week. I was expecting it to take so much longer. It also amazes me how incredibly different each pregnancy is. The first one I felt fine, second one I was SO sick and this one I feel fine again.

I'm surprised with how easily some get pregnant and how some have it so much harder. Through high school they just say, "you have sex, you will get pregnant." but they don't tell you it can be so difficult to actually make it happen.

If i want to be pregnant, i can get pregnant the first try. my sister, on the other hand, tried for 10 years and ended up with a hysterectomy because of endometreosis. and my other sister has PCOS and has been trying for years as well. They don't teach you that stuff, you learn it along the way and it's tough to see.

I'm mostly surprised at how incredibly tired I am all the time! For the first couple days after I got that BFP, I had so much energy, and then it all suddenly drained and now I feel like a walking zombie. I never expected that, especially not so early!

Being pregnant at 20! I just turned 20 on the 9th and it just blows me away because I always said I would wait until I was atleast 24
I still feel like a teenager in some ways.....I actually think I'm the youngest mom in this DDC
But overall, I've seen women struggle to conceive. I'm very thankful and I wouldn't change this for the world

I'm suprised it took me as long as it did to get pregnant. We'd been trying since March and it wasn't until I stopped my psych meds that I got pregnant. Even though that med says it doesn't mess with fertility, but I know it did in my case.

While 9 months may see like a extremly long time at first, it goes by really quickly in all aspects. Just with all the ups and downs of pregnancy sometimes it doesn't feel that way!

I agree with the others that said about how different each woman is at conceiving too... I know a few people that have struggled a lot with TTC. But with my 1st and with this one, I conceived the very first month trying. It's like DH just has to look at me, and I'm pregnant! lol
