Hey guys, thought I'd share the cake recipe I used for Ayla's cake. It was SO GOOD. Very moist and flavorful. I didn't use the frosting recipe that's also included, but a buttercream one I found on All Recipes. The frosting was way too sweet though, does anyone have a good frosting recipe that's not way too sweet? Usually I do chocolate or peanut butter frosting for cakes, but would like a good vanilla one on hand.
I've made this cake before her party so knew it was good. Before I didn't follow the instructions and use 3 9" cake pans and it took much longer in the oven. This time I used the three rounds and it was perfect. It's a keeper recipe for sure.
Here's the cake again, just because I want to brag.
