So a bunch of you reccomended taking some unisom for my morning sickness.
I took it ( one) at night as suggested, and i slept really odd. I would wake up for my kids but i was really dizzy and funny feeling.
Anyway when i got up, i couldent really get up. I was SOOO SOOO tired, like my eyes hurt and i kept falling asleep every few minutes.
But its worked most all day, i havent felt queasy but a few minutes ago, and i started eating first thing. Ive been freaked out, right on top of any hunger cues ive had eating right away, but it hasnt stopped that fear of im gonna be sick any minute lol.
But is the tiredness thing normal? Or am i oversensative to the medication? I can try half a pill if its not normal. I seriously cant be like this on Monday when my husband is at work. Weekend its ok, because hes home.
Oh and how do you know your morning sickness is gone? Just stop taking it and see if you feel sick the next day?
I only took it a couple times, but I took a half and it still helped. I know I would have had trouble staying awake with a whole one, because I'm pretty sensitive to things like that. I was still a little sleepy the next day with a half, but it did help the nausea.
The first time I took it I felt dizzy when I got up and overly tired..but that went away. It may be that you are overly sensitive to it though. Definitely try half a pill and see if it makes any difference. At the beginning of the pregnancy I took 1/2 a pill and it worked just fine too. I forget what I did with my last one on when to stop taking it. I suggest try stopping at some point when you don't think you have any issues anymore..maybe on a weekend. Also I still get the odd nausea once in a while and I still dry heave or gag when I am brushing my teeth so I am waiting to see when that stops and maybe seeing if the morning sickness is gone then. I think once the placenta takes over making the progesterone is when the nausea seems to go away and thats when you move into the 2nd trimester.
Oh also I find the unisom works way better when taken with plain vitamin b6 25-50 mg.
