What do you suggest to do to make sure baby is AWAKE tomorrow morning? Does caffeine or OJ really help?

I don't know any of those tips on how to get baby to open legs or get into position, but every time I've had an ultrasound and they wanted baby to move, they'd just push on my stomach and squish it around until baby moved Essentially prodding baby until she decided to get out of her comfy position to give them a good shot.

They told me to drink something sugary before my gender scan. I had a dr. pepper 30 minutes before and my kid wouldn't move for anything!! lol The tech shook and pressed on my belly for half an hour and FINALLY got her to move.

I think I will try some OJ but definitely won't get my hopes up. Lets just hope this baby isn't like me and still asleep at 11am.

I had a Frappuccino before my 2nd u/s after my DD wouldn't open her legs at my first u/s, it worked! She was all over the place and spreading her legs wide. If you don't drink any caffeine regularly then a can of coke would probably work just as well. I usually have one coke a day so I wanted a bit more than one coke.

Good luck!

Thanks! I was actually thinking of going to Starbucks before the u/s because the other time I had a latte from there, that's the night I *THINK* I felt him move. I don't drink caffeine all the time but I'd say about 3 or so times a week, so I might want more than just a Coke too.

When I had my gender scan my little guys legs were crossed the tech suggested that I stand up and move around so I kinda walked around and jumped a few times layed back down and sure enough he moved and we got the shot. I did drink a soda before the appt and he was awake and moving just wouldn't uncross his legs till I got up and moved lol

I recommend something with caffeine . I trust caffeine above sugar. This baby has been stubborn at every ultrasound even with caffeine but eventually has cooperated. I think she's just stubborn in general LOL.

one of my previous drs told me something cold like ice cream can get the baby moving... I don't usually drink caffeine so I'll probably grab a coke and a hot fudge sundae from mcdonalds to eat on the way Even if it doesn't work, at least it gives me an excuse to make dh stop at mcd's for a sundae! I go tomorrow @ 11am too!

I drank some OJ before my gender scan and the u/s tech commented on how active Max was. I think I drank too much. Try about 8oz and just pray that baby cooperates.
