I am not sure what's going on, but here lately my students have been asking me how many kids I have. This is my 2nd year here and a lot of them are the same students and I very rarely get asked that question. So to have 5-6 kids ask me the same question this week is a little...strange. I don't think I am "showing" yet or anything. I am a bit fluffy and people have actually commented that I look like I've "lost" weight. (According to the scale this morning, it has gone down...which I don't get because I am not throwing up anymore, but I know I don't eat much.)

Anyway, I'm just glad they haven't straight up said, "Ms. Watts, are you pregnant???"

It's hard to answer the 'how many kids do you have' question. I just say None. Because technically I don't have a baby yet. We are getting married shortly anyway. But I've just had this thing about not letting the students know until 1.) We're married and 2.) I am full blown showing.

I won't be the one to say, "Guess what! I'm pregnant" like one of our other *ahem* teachers just did. But if they ask, I'll say yes.

The straight up questioning always gets me. No way I can lie about being pregnant. I wonder how long you can get before someone asks you?

I totally lied to someone who asked when I was pregnant with my first. We had literally JUST found out, hadn't told anyone, not our families or anything. I was like five weeks along. This girl-- a friend of mine but not like we were super close or anything-- randomly asked, just joking around. And I lied to her face.

I apologized later. LOL.

I just think that's a question you shouldn't ask someone unless she's like, your BFF or your sister or something. Because it's not nice to put people on the spot.

Before we got pregnant, a few months ago, my principal actually asked me, "When is your baby due?" I was like um...I've actually LOST 16 lbs. Jerk!

I'm not "extremely fat", but I carry 99% of my weight in my tummy area. I rarely gain any weight anywhere else. So I've been asked a time or two in my adult life when my baby is due or how far along am I, etc. People are so rude sometimes.

Once at Wal-Mart, the cashier said, "When are you due?" and I rubbed my belly and said, ANY DAY NOW!! She said, OMG YOU ARE SO TINY!!!!

I was like b............................itch, you JUST called me fat now you are calling me skinny!! LOL

I've been asked a few times when I was due and how far a long I am before. I carry most of my weight in my tummy also. That's why my pants are getting tighter now! That is too funny about the cashier at Walmart! I'd say it just to see what their reaction is!!! lol!

I have a teacher friend on JM who has students ask her straight up all the time if she's pregnant and she's not. It annoys her so much! How old are your students?

My students are 6th-8th grade. Sometimes they just don't know how to keep their mouths shut! Some random boy asked me in the gym if I was pregnant and when I said No, he said well you are chubby.

I was pissed and said...well so are you.

I have always been "Chubby" When I was a in 6th grade I had some kid call me a double stuffed oreo haha. I don't get asked if I am pregnant cause my Butt is just as big as my stomach haha. So unless they think I am having twins on in each they realize I'm just fat.
