TEAM BLUE!!

Sorry it's so blurry!!!! Pic of a pic from my phone!

He stayed bent over like this the WHOLE time. His head was banging on his knees. At one point the tech showed us how he had his legs straightened out and was grabbing his foot with one hand, stretching out like the pros!

Unfortunately, they told me I have a low placenta and it's partially covering my cervix. I'm not totally sure what all that means but they told me no fun time with DH until 28 weeks, and it SHOULD correct itself. Let's hope, because if it shifts and covers my whole cervix, they said that is BAD NEWS. I'm trying to take it easy, and not be pulling any stand-in-a-swivel-chair stunts. I go back in 2 weeks, they'll probably do an ultrasound again.

Anyways! We are real excited about knowing it's a Roghan Abel in there!! DH teared up at the u/s, he was so cute.

But I have a ton going on and I have to get going! Just wanted to keep you posted. Hopefully I get the chance to get on tonight and show&tell all of you how we gender revealed to everyone!!

Congrats on the boy! Welcome to the blue team!

Sucks that so many people on our board seem to have plecenta previa at one point or another, partial or non partial. But something like 80% of all previa cases correct themselves as long as you follow the rules

The only bad thing about if it doesnt correct itself is you will have to have a c-section, but i doubt that catching this early it will be a problem The plecenta likes to move! haha

Oh I hope not! I want a natural birth so bad!! Hopefully it will clear up and I haven't been wanting fun time with DH much anyways. So that'll be easy to follow!

That is inaccurate. Following the rules doesn't make your placenta move. It moves if it is able to. It just means less chance of having a bleed/haemorrage. But that said some women bleed with PP for no apparent reason at all. Most marginal & borderline previas move by the time of delivery, because the growth of the uterus drags the placenta upwards with it. For this reason it is best to have another scan alot later in the pregnancy to see if it has moved. My u/s that was done to check that the placenta had moved was done at 30 weeks with my last pregnancy, but in reality probably should have been done later because the placenta can move a lot in the last couple of weeks But that said it had moved.
To deliver vaginally the placenta must be 5cms clear of the cervical opening from all angles, (because the cervix dilates to 10.) As long as it's 5cms clear by the time of delivery you'll be fine. Oh & I have it again with this pregnancy too
