Sadly, I think I will be a tad bit disappointed if this one is a boy. I just feel horribly guilty saying that!!! I had such a complicated pregnancy my 1st pregnancy that I would really prefer this to be my last-- and I really want a little girl. I know I will love LO unconditionally and it would be nice for DS to have a little brother-- but still, fingers crossed for girl but mentally preparing for boy.

Oh my, not at all! DH and I have wanted and been trying for a baby for such a long time. We will be thrilled and overjoyed either way!

that's how it is here too, my family has 7 grandkids (couting my 2) and they are ALL girls. so my family would die if I had a boy, but still love bob if she's a she.
So far there are 9 girls in this generation on DH's side of the family He has a brother and 3 cousins - his brother has 2 girls, we have 2 girls, one cousin has 2 girls and another cousin has 3 girls. He has another cousin they are not as close to, that has 1 boy (and 1 girl, but not biological) so that's the only boy so far.

I'm also VERY worried about gender disappointment from our families. With so many girls, I know everyone is itching for a boy and we're the "last hope" on the DH's side. On my side, I think my family would be happy to see us with a boy, but would also be excited for a girl, since we have a mix of each. I still see a lot of people saying "Oh, it's another girl" if we find out at the u/s and thier lack of excitement I think would bring me down some, ya know?

I will be a little bit if it's a boy. I do want a little girl so badly. But I also want another boy at some point so it won't be hugely terrible.

After having one baby die, in the end, as long as the baby comes home I don't care.

I'm not worried that I'll be disappointed. I want a girl because Neely wants to have a daughter, but a boy will be just fine too!

Nope, I will be so happy either way!

I really wanted a girl with my 1st, and I got her I kind of wanted another girl with my 2nd but wasn't disappointed to find out he was a boy.

And I LOVE my boy so much! He is seriously the sweetest little thing ever, whereas DD is a total drama queen

So if it's a girl I will be happy because then DH will have one of each (bio children) but if it's a boy we'll both be happy too, DH is really a guy's guy and loves sports and all that stuff. And my two youngest would both be boys

Well I know we all say as long as they are healthy we don't care but truly this time I would love to have a boy. I have a daughter which with her I had hoped it was a boy mostly because I wanted to give my husband a son so he can do all the boy things but now i'm so glad I had my girl because im a girly girl who loves to shop and I think about the future prom dress shopping, etc!! Also I'm not sure if we will have any more kids after this so if I had a boy I think I would be at peace if this was it.

I would love to have a girl this time since this might be our last pregnancy, but if not then I will adjust to the idea of 3 boys........and probably learn to keep the windows open to air out some of the testosterone I believe every baby is born with a specific destiny so although I might be sad for a bit, I'd get over it.
Happily married for 8 years, with 2 boys, Ethan (5) and Caleb (3), and Baby Joviana due any day now!

My number one reason last time was to avoid that from happening. I would have been devastated if I was told I was having a girl. I really wanted a boy first. So since I knew I would be upset to hear girl, I waited. Its easy to be upset with a u/s photo....its pretty hard to be upset with a perfect little baby in your arms
This time I still would prefer a boy but I wouldn't be upset with a girl....for me it was wanting my OLDEST to be a boy. Now I'm just scared of a girly girl LOL

Since this is our first, I don't really care. DH wants a boy first though. But girls are more versatile when it comes to clothing/colors, etc. But our intuitions say it'll be a boy.

I just want a healthy baby. A girl would be nice so we would have one of each because we are done after this one but on the other hand, I know what to expect with boys and we have all boy stuff so I'm fine with a boy. My mom would really like a girl because she has 3 grandsons. I guess she was out shopping this weekend with my dad and she was looking at little dresses - ha ha.

I honestly don't know if I'll be a little sad or not. I know some other people who will be!! DH and DD want a girl while DS wants a little brother. In fact, DS wants my nephew...even after explaining we can't take Jacob he says he wants a baby Jacob robot. I think I'm having a girl will be happy with a girl but I haven't even thought baout whether it's a boy.

Yes, very much so. I think my husband will have a small breakdown as well.
We'd like 1 of each, but do have a preference for what we'd like first. There's also a small chance that we will stop with 1.

Yes, but of course no too. There are no boys in this generation on DH's side (so on one to pass on the name) and his brothers are done. Dh only wants 2, which I'll be okay with if this is a boy. If it's a girl, that will be great, but I'll have to convince DH for a 3rd

Me!! I'm going to be completely honest with you, I am desperately hoping this baby is a boy. And I know I'm going to be disappointed if it turns out to be a girl. (Flame me if you want but it's how I feel.) I know I'll be disappointed at first but then I'll get over it. And of course I want a healthly baby. I guess we'll see in about a month.

I'm not really sure, but I have to be honest, I'm hoping for a boy. I have two girls and I wanted 2 girls, but I want this to be my last and I'd love a boy for dh, and it would really make it feel complete. But again, if I do have a girl, there are positive things about that too, so I'd get over it quick I think. So far most people think I am having another girl, so I am preparing myself.

Thank you Meganpixel for the most fantastic siggy!
