Because my bestfriend was induced last night! This is her second baby, so we were all expecting her labor to go relativly quickly (her first labor was only 4 hours, that one and this one are induction labors). I tried to stay up with her last night (shes in flordia, im in california i couldnt get out there )but i got so tired at about 1:30 her time. She was supposed ot be induced at 12 but the hospital was really behind so she got her induction pill (Prostagladin) at around 1:20 I was expecting to wake up to a picture of him! But nope, shes just now at 8:10 her time getting her epidural! nearly 7 hours of labor before an epi and only 5 cm dialated! Im sad i cant be there but hanging on every single update I get and am excited to get the shes pushing text! Though that probably wont be for a while att his pace
I just wanted ot share because Im so excited to see him and see the outcome of being induced so early (shes being induced at her 39 weeks after her due date being moved up twice) So I am anxious to know that hes healthy and everything!
I will update everytime I get more info!
Sorry it took so long!
But after 8 1/2 hours of labor she had the baby!
James Hunter E________ (called Hunter) was born at 10:01 AM weighing 7 lbs 8 oz and measuring 19 1/2 inches long! Hes just a little cutie! I dont have many good pictures so I will share what I have. i was so excited when I got the text! He seems healthy as of right now, no lung maturity problems. I am elated for her And just so happy for all of us to start having babies in 4-5 months!
Both of them are healthy. Kasey did so well in comparison to her first, she didnt tear at all and her epidural wore after nicely after birth so she could walk on her own in a few hours. She feels great and was told she should be able to leave tomorrow! I am so happy Im just sad I have to wait so long to meet him!
