Are you using any kind of lotion to help prevent stretch marks?

Nope, that is a losing battle for me. I did with both my previous pregnancies and they didn't work so I'm not going to bother this time around. From what I understand if you're genetically predisposed to stretch marks you'll get them, nothing you can do.

I use vitamin e and emu oil...this is my third pregnancy. With the last two i got stretch marks on the backs of my thighs--the only place i didn't put lotion. Coincidence? I'm not sure. Even if the oils don't work they sure make my skin soft and glowy.

I did with my first and it didn't do anything, my stomach is covered in stretch marks from right under my boobs down to my lady area, and they wrap half way around my back and go down my legs... yeah I am a giant stretch mark!

I definitely will use lotion..... I hope that it really does help... at least for the itchy skin from stretching. I 'm planning to use Palmers lotion and Bio-oil..... I heard these were good.

Ditto. I use lotion, but it will be just good ole lotion that use already.

I'm using cocoa butter but I already have stretch marks anyway (and I've never been pregnant!) so I'm doubting it will do any good.

I might this time. I totally ignored it last time because I didn't have any stretch marks while I was pregnant; however, after I gave birth, boom they showed up. Not a lot but still. Ugh!

Cocoa Butter all the way. Bradley was breech until the last week when he turned and his head was BULGING in one area of my belly and now I have a couple random strech marks in one area on my left side when he turned and his head hung out their for a few days and of course I stopped using it after week 37... got to tired of it So, I actually think it worked???

I feel your pain! I'm the same way. Puberty hit me hard, I guess. But hey on the bright side- I already have stretch marks on my boobs, hips and a little on my stomach so I suppose it won't be as big of a deal if I get them now, right? And Lord knows I wasn't wearing a bikini before the pregnancy anyway, lol. But just to feel like I tried at least, I bought some cocoa butter.

I think it's mostly genetic. I used cocoa butter all the time with my first and got stretch marks all over.

I have had no children and have stretch marks bad already so I will use lotion for dry skin/to help with itchiness but I won't worry about getting more.
