Alright ladies...

What have you heard about food coloring??
Is it safe during pregnancy?

All I know is I've definitely eaten food coloring since I've been pregnant... I LOOOVEEE Welch's Fruit Snacks, and upon checking the ingredients, I found it has Red 40, Yellow 5 and Blue 1 in it.

I've tried finding answers to this online, but cant find a darn thing!

Let me know ladies!!

I do not know but almost everything we eat has some food coloring in it and I think if it was unsafe the doctors would say something about it. I just looked at the back of my bottle of tums and in the list of ingredients, there is food coloring in it.

Im just guessing... but I would think that its like anything else... good in moderation/normal amounts... so dont go drink a bottle of it... but dont worry if its in your food.

I usually don't take prenatals with Red 40 in it, because you take them daily, but I would assume that unless you're allergic it should be fine to have it in small amounts, which is really all it is.

The only thing I really know about it, is that my older brother, who has asperger's syndrome, had a big behavioral improvement after my parents cut red 40 out of his diet. So unless you have other problems you should be quite alright.
