*Update* Went to the dermatologist and he said that it looked okay, it was just in a bad spot. We are supposed to keep putting the cream on it with this stuff called DuoDerm that is a bandage that acts as a second skin over it. We only have to change it every couple of days. Then we go back in about a month and have them look at it again. Hopefully this will work!

Parker has a superficial hemangioma spot on his groin area. It is basically a build-up of blood vessels. It looked like a birthmark when he was born, but it has grown and spread. It has since ulcerated so it is a sore now.

If you remember, we went to the pedi about it and got some antibacterial cream to put on it so it wouldn't get infected. They wanted to go ahead and refer us to a dermatologist so they could monitor it more closely. I got the call today and they said they can squeeze us in tomorrow! I am so ready to go and have a doctor look at it. Parker hates having the cream put on as I think it stings. I hope tomorrow goes well!

I am sorry, I know those can be frustrating for you and baby. I had one when I was born, also in my groin area and it went away by the time I was 7.
