Ok, does anyone else have a quiet baby? I am very concerned about Eastons hearing and plan on bringing it up with my doc next week at his 2 month appt. He passed his newborn hearing screening but he just seems to not be doing well socially. I am a FTM so I'm not sure what is normal but he doesn't turn towards sounds or really seem to startle. Every once in awhile he does, but not often. I should preface this with the fact that we have to go to physical therapy next week because he always looks one direction. He can turn his head but it takes lots and lots of prodding to get him to do it. He hasn't been officially diagnosed with torticollis but this is what they are going to look for. He also doesn't make too many noises except crying. He can cry and scream like a champ but maybe once a day he will make another noise. I have never heard him coo. He also isnt smiling at all. Just wondering if anyone else has babies that aren't very vocal besides crying. I talk to him a ton, but I am beginning to wonder if something else could be going on...
Cameron is really quiet. He grunts but he has never made any "happy" sounds. He cries sometimes but usually he just grunts. He sounds like a little pig. He passed his hearing test and he startles but usually only from movement not sound. I'm not worried about his hearing because newborns are always in thier own little world. I'm pretty sure he can hear.
When you guys go to the pedi next I would mention that he's not turning towards sounds but don't get to worried about it yet.
