I'm EBFing this time but I FF with dd. I used the powder and she seemed to be just fine with it. I never tried the premade because of the price, and I have never heard about any difference in taste or texture (but again, i never used it). The only issue we had was reflux and that was fixed when we got Enfamil with the added rice. I'd go for powder if I were you. Especially because they only eat more the bigger they get and that $6/day will only go up up up!

I was given a premade and a powder.Once the premade was done I went to the powder.
I like the premade because it doesn't bubble up when mixed. I find the powder has a lot of air bubbles. I solve this by mixing up a few ounces at a time and then just let it sit in the fridge. Bubbles gone
I'm not using much since I am just supplementing here and there so I go with the

We used Powder with Owen and he never had issues. Also, I looked into the manufacturer of the "cheap" formulas and they are often the same as the expensive one. For example, the parent's choice formula is made by Heinz which produces it's own more expensive formula. We decided to use the "cheaper" one because it was processed at the same plant using the same ingredients as the expensive formula.

We started out with the Enfamil Newborn powder, then just recently switched to Parent's choice premium powder. Andrew is digesting the Parents Choice much better, and is spitting up way less. Since it is 1/2 the price of Enfamil, I think we will stick with Parents Choice. Now, with Wyatt, all his digestive system could handle was the Prosobee (soy) Enfamily powder, the premade actually made him spit-up a lot compared to the powder. I think it just depends on the child, which formula they tolerate the best.
