We had an u/s (our first) today because I've been spotting on and off for the past week or so. The u/s tech said that it looks like the placenta is really close ("basically on top of") my cervix, which is causing the occasional bleeding. She said this is common and will correct itself as the baby gets bigger. I'll ask for more information when my dr. calls, but it's just good to know the reason for the spotting and that there's no need to worry about it necessarily.
Anyhow, the kiddo is measuring exactly where he/she should be (15 weeks) and was flipping around all over the place throughout the u/s. Here he/she is!
