I've considered free public cord blood banking but that's it.

I haven't heard enough about it and haven't bothered to look into it more. I most likely won't do it.

We thought about doing it with Sara. DF's brother and cancer as a young boy so for him it hit close to home. When we looked into it at the time we thought we would never be able to afford it I think now that we are more stable we will look into the matter again

we are definitely doing it... we've done extensive research and it is highly recommended by our physician. You never know what can happen in the future, and medical research is only getting better. it's security for life. It's a small price to pay for the sake of your child i think. So we are definitely doing it.

We donate ours to the cord blood bank. We did it with DS and will do it again. If you need it in the future and the cord blood is still there, you can use it. St. Louis has a very large donated cord blood bank. We can't afford to pay to have it privately stored.

DH was dead set for It with DD until we read more about it. Turns out most of it is a scam. They have actually figured out a way to take a woman's menstrual blood and use the stem cells from it. We decided it wasn't worth the money these people are asking for.

We probably won't. I haven't looked into enough, and am doing enough other research that I'm feeling pretty overwhelmed as it is.
