This is my favorite pasta dish to make if we are going to a cookout or hosting one. Everyone seems to think its strange that there is pickles in it, but after they try they love it and want the recipe. Serve Cold.
One box or package of spiral pasta (I use tri-colored whacky macky)
Jar of Dill pickles
package of cheese (i use sharp cheddar, feel free to use your favorite)
Wishbone Italian dressing
McCormicks Sudden Salad Seasoning
Follow directions on the pasta package
As the pasta cooks, dice up the green pepper, cut the cheese into bite size cubes, and dice up as many pickles as desired (i usually use half or 3/4 of a jar of pickles)
When pasta is cook, drain and run cold water over the pasta to cool it off
Once pasta is no longer hot, put in bowl and add green pepper, cheese and pickles
Stir around until everything is mixed
Add about half the bottle of Wishbone to the bowl
Give several shakes of the Sudden Salad to the pasta salad
Stir and taste, you may want to add more dressing or seasoning...
Once I have mixed everything together I put it in the fridge for a little while (30min-1hr), the pasta will absorb some of the dressing, so if you like a lot of dressing you may want to add more...same with the seasoning
