Well, the time has come. I had an OB appt. today, and he has scheduled my cerclage for Wednesday evening. That is only day after tomorrow! WOW. It really crept up on me. I am nervous. I am not looking forward to having that epidural, and the cramping, it is just not a whole lot of fun. It also scares me to think about them sewing on the uterus where my tiny baby is residing right now. Just had to get that off my chest. WHEW

You'll be in my prayers Wednesday! That does sound scary. I wondered how they kept you from feeling it and have never known anyone personally enough who had it to say, "Hey, how do they numb you while they sew you closed?" LOL

KUP on how everything goes. I am sure you'll be fine and it is for the best interest of the baby, but I am sure you are nervous.

Thank you everyone! I am even more anxious now, it is tomorrow. I can't eat anything after 9am, that is going to be terrible. I will keep you all posted.

I know, it's wierd, but I will actually have one today, that's the type of anestesia that they use for my procedure.

Well, all went well. I am very sore, and crampy. They hit a blood vein the first time with the epidural, so we had to do it twice, but the procedure went well. I am taking terbutiline to keep from contracting, and it makes me very jumpy and shaky. I am trying to do my bedrest as directed. I have a sick toddler at home, but we are managing.

I'm sure, I'm probably totally over stepping my bounds, but I am so glad you did not take that job!! It seems like you are going through enough stress without the addition of figuring a new job, new boss and new people.

Good luck!! And hopefully you'll be recovered soon!!

Not at all, I was just thinking about that last night while I was laying in the hospital bed, missing my sick daughter. I felt like it was meant to be this way, because today here she and I are recovering together and taking care of on another.

Thank you soooo much for all of your thoughts and prayers!

Glad to hear it went well! Hope you feel better really fast! A good friend of mine had to get that done for every one of her kids after her first was lost.. It's a tough thing to get done but it's so cool that they can do that to help ensure all stays where it should until it's time!
