your heartbeat will be really slow compared to the baby's. The baby's will be quick probably somewhere in the rand of 130-160? Does it have a display on it and how far along are you?

When I was 15 weeks I found the heartrate about 3 inches above my pubic bone. Sometimes I have to press pretty hard because I am a little extra fluffy. My display sucks too. I have a sonoline B. The baby's heartrate will sound much softer compared to yours. if you go to far left or right you will heart you vena cava which is really loud in comparison...What you can also do is if you are unsure about who's it is, reach up and take your pulse from your neck and if it is yours it'll be the same rhythm your hearing. Let me know if you found it!! (It took me 2 weeks to find it)

When you hear the babies it will sound more like a horse trot. A tip for finding it, try looking when you have a full bladder

If you put the doppler up near your heart, like over by your left boob, you can find your heartbeat, it's much slower than the baby's and actually sounds a lot different!

Something my doctor's always said to do was to listen to my own pulse. If the heartbeat was going with my pulse, it was me!

I had the same problem. Ashley sent me this link - it was really helpful, and I was finally able to find my little girl's heartbeat (thought it did take about 30 minutes the first time):

Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
