Yay! I finally convinced hubby to let me get an early gender u/s! So we'll be finding out the gender on Monday instead of waiting 4 more weeks! My reasoning is more then just the gender, my missed miscarriage was diagnosed at 14 weeks last time, so I'd also love the reassurance of just seeing our little babe doing well after the 14 week mark, and that would be so hard to wait til 18 weeks for that! This is my early bday present since it costs $60, but I don't care! Can't wait to see our lil babe!

Congrats and good luck! 14 weeks is still a bit early for an accurate guess so I wouldn't paint the room til after the 18 week one

I don't think it's too early, everything I've read online says any u/s after 13 weeks is 99-100% accurate. Nonetheless, we won't be doing painting anyways right away since we don't have time right now!

My sister had her's done at 14 weeks only because our SIL was the u/s tech. I've heard that it's much better to wait until 16 weeks, but my SIL did get the sex right for my sister at that time.
Good luck!
I'm jealous I have to wait until I'm 20 weeks, which is 21 days away... yes I am counting! lol

I think that is a bit early for an definite gender ultrasound. I went in today to my maternal fetal medicine doctor because of bleeding. After they found the baby alive, they looked around for what might be causing the bleeding. I asked if they happened to see gender. She said, well we can check and got a very clear picture of between the legs. She said that she would guess a boy, but even with their high tech 3d us, she said it was only a guess.... as it is hard to tell at 14 weeks.
