Hi all.

So this is totally TMI, but about 3:00 CST today, I started having this really really bad pull on my tailbone. I would get the same kind of "pull" type feeling when I'd have a really strong/heavy period. And also once, when I broke my tailbone.

Is this something I should be concerned with and need to call my doctor? Or just tough it out?

Is it constant or coming in a pattern? I am having pain right below my waist in the center of my back kind of on the tailbone, but it is a dull ache. I've considered calling about it too, but it doesn't get so bad that I can't get my mind off of it.

I had that REALLY bad with 2 of my pregnancies. I have a VERY high tolerance for pain but it had me in tears. The chiropractor made it all better though.

As far as it being a concern to the pregnancy, no. It's cause by nerves being pinched back there most often.

I've had bad back pain the past few weeks, my doctor told me to relax as much as possible and told me to stay in bed. It's gone now, but it was very very scary. I hope it doesn't return.

Thanks for the reassurance, Jessica! That at least makes me not think I am having some kind of weird preterm labor pain or something. I have thought about seeing a chiropractor once we get to Florida. With DD, I didn't have any back pain, so this is all new to me.

A chiro really is a godsend during pregnancy. Just make sure they are experienced with working with pregnant women. Most are, but if you get one that is not they can actually do more harm than good. I haven't seen mine in a couple weeks, I really need to get in. My insurance only pays for 25 visits per year so I'm trying to make sure I save them up for when I need them most lol. Right now I'm having a lot of lower back and hip pain though, and also carpal tunnel.
