I think I will have about 25 days paid time off (accrued sick time and personal time) and then I can borrow up to 12 days from our sick bank (I'll have to pay back 8 next year). Because of he Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, I should be okay to not go back until after our Christmas break. So I'll get about 8 weeks. This will only work if I can work until my due date. With DS I had to stop working about 3 weeks before he was born. So I am hoping that I can work to the due date with this one.
I have vacation saved up and i also have short term disability which i think pays for 12 weeks but it doesnt start for 3 weeks so thats when the vacation time will come in. I work 28 hours over the weekends, cut down from 32 and I'm realizing I jus can't do it much longer. Im hoping my Dr will let me take leave at 6 months and use my Short term.
I am having a scheduled c-section so I can get 8 weeks of disabilty plus 2-3 weeks of vaction/sick time and with the holidays in the middle I should be able to take about 12 weeks paid. My DH and I are saving a little extra ever month so maybe I stay home, unpaid, for a few weeks more. I have only worked 30 hr per week since my DD was born and maybe I can cut back to 25ish after this one.
I'll have 34 sick days plus thanksgiving and Christmas break. I'm really hoping I can work for as long as possible to my due date so I can spend that time with baby. I plan to take at least 8-9 weeks after the baby is born even if a week or so has to be unpaid.
Thank you Vicki... For the adorable siggy!
