I abstained from coffee during pregnancy (okay okay I think I had two cups...) is it important that I abstain while breastfeeding as well? I've never been an every day drinker, more like 2-4 times a month.

If I allow myself the 2-4 times a month do I need to be worried that it will make Norah awake from the caffeine on the days I do drink it?

I don't drink coffee as per my religion, however, I like me some caffeinated soda. How does caffeine affect you? I think that's a good indicator of how Norah will be with it? I've been drinking caffeine moderately through my pregnancy in hopes that the baby will have a slight tolerance so that when I want a glass of Coke while I'm nursing, it won't have baby up all night. I think you could help her build up a tolerance to it and/or just test how she handles it by sipping smaller amounts and noting if it affects her at all, and gradually increasing how much you drink.

They say that having caffeine any time after 4PM can really affect how you sleep at night, so I'd probably experiment in the morning at first, so you're not up all night with her.

I'm a heavy soda drinker. I don't quit whle pregnant or bfing. My babies are a bit sensitive at first as in more bubbly tummy but gripe water works wonders.

As little as you. Want to drink it I would watch her the day of and after ffor a reaction. But it's anyone's guess till you drink it as to what's going too happen.

I drink coffee like crazy, I am one of those people who can't function without coffee but it never bothered my children. DS will sleep all night if I let him.
