Lol. I've been feeling kind of early laborish all day and I want my dh to stay home, but he can't since its Friday unless I actually go into labor..so....I grabbed some Castor oil while out for dinner.

So I took 2tableapoons mixed with just a tiny bit of gatorade. I was going to just drink it straight but it looked a little think. It dint taste like anything but I sucked a lemon afterwards just as a precaution. Lol.
I keep running to the bathroom each time I get any pressure but so far nothing. It has made my contractions much more intense and frequent.
I kind of feel like my belly has been rock hard since a couple minutes after I took it. Lots of pressure in the front of my lower belly but idk....

My midwife doesn't know it yet, but her Friday night will prb be interrupted. Lol. I hope...

Update: well dh went to work and I went to bed with a half dose of ambien. I wwnt to bed with more intense braxton hicks but that was it. That was at ten....I woke up a couple times from contractions but fell back asleep. Then I woke up with more intense one and uses the bathroom (no diarrehea but an easier bowel movement) and went back to bed. I've been trying to sleep but the contractions are painful and hard to time...they can last up to two minutes or a little longer and then be anywhere from eight to four minutes apart. Sometimes it doesn't feel like the contraction really ends....and my belly is super hard all over forever with this twisting pressure at the bottom that comes and goes.
Anyways....I am not sure if this is just the Castor oil and will fade or is it really got labor moving and I should be getting ready. I feel like crap and cannot get comfortable during a contraction but I don't need peeled odf the ceiling yet. My MIL invited herself to spend the night so I'm kind of glad she is here in case we need to go.
I guess I will wait a bit and see if I should call the midwife.
What do you think? Castor oil side effects or labor?

Ok, I'm not sure what is going on but my belly feels like a non stop contraction, its as tight as a drum and there is so much pressure in the front. I'm not in pain but I can barely walk....but its not intestinal trouble and I haven't had to use the bathroom at all. Its been an hour...I'm not sure what is going on.

Castor oil works by irritating smooth muscle... sounds like it's working and you have an angry uterus on your hands!

hmmm... It could go either way... are you having any "bloody show" or losing mucus plug? Those are things that would make me think it's true labor and not just a warm up...

I'm sure this is prb false labor but im going in anyways. My contractions are more intense and frequent. I live like 40 minutes away and at this point I dont care either way if I'm in labor or not. It woke me out of ambien so that says something about the pain level.
I just love wasting peoples time right...

I never lost my mucous plug or had bloody show, so maybe this is it! I remember taking castor oil with my first, NOT FUN! Praying it goes better for you than it did for me!
