Okay, so I came home from the hospital this evening (visiting John - nothing is wrong with me/baby) to find my front door wide open, no lights on, and my dogs broken out of their cage and in a total frenzy. Nothing was stolen and no one was in the house so I don't know what exactly happened. I'm thinking someone opened the door and the dogs scared them off. At least that's what I am telling myself.

Anyway, I flipped out and called my little brother, who lives down the road. He flew over with a knife in hand and went through the whole house. Everything was fine, but I was really shaken up so I came over to his place to spend the night since I was otherwise sleeping alone in a house that may or may not have been broken into.

Him and his fiancee were hanging at home just having a few STRONG drinks when I called, so they are pretty plastered since the drinks kept flowing once I got here. I'm currently out on the sofa bed watching TV and surfing the net (I'm still too shaken up to sleep - stupid adrenaline) and they are.......currently having very, very loud drunk sex in their bedroom, which is about five feet from me in their teeny little apartment.

Okay, I have zero issues with people having sex, trust me. But do I really need to hear it? Do I REALLY need to hear my little brother have sex? I've had plenty of drunk sex in my life but I've somehow always managed to have some degree of modesty about it when others are around. I guess that's not the norm and I'm just a prude??

Save me. I just want to go home ....

Firstly, sorry about your house! How scary!

I have to laugh at the loud sex, because I have btdt with my sister, and it grossed me right out. It is still burned into my mind. I used to live with her when I was 13/14, and her and her then husband were having sex in the middle of the night, and I woke up to it. I swore she was getting hurt or something, and yelled her name and asked her if she was okay. After a couple times, I clued into what was going on, and I almost puked.

Listening to parents or siblings shack up is disturbing.

No, we didn't call the police. Nothing was taken and there was no forced entry, so I am not even sure what happened. It was just a little concerning to me because the convenience store right up the street was robbed at gunpoint 5 days ago, so who knows what else may go on around here until they catch the culprits. My little rural area is actually really safe, but the little downtown stretch about two miles down the road can be iffy (as far as petty crime - not anything serious).

Wow, so sorry to hear about your house! That is scary! I hope they catch whoever is involved soon.

And ew on sibling. If I EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER hear one of my sibs doing it, I'll probably run screaming. Of course, my older brother lives in CA and is 28, but the rest are in high school, so I hope I NEVER hear it. EVER. EW.

Eeewww!! LOL! I don't mean to laugh, but POOR DANI! Are they at least acting embarassed today?

I'm freaked out about your house too. I wonder what in the world happened. Were your dogs still safe inside? Does your door normally swing open on its own? Had you locked it? I'm just trying to figure out what could have possibly happened.

UGH....I'm so sorry to read this. I know how you feel!!!!! I would be horrified if I were you. Or I would have knocked on the door and told them to shut the f up. LOL
But I'm a bit vocal lately since being pregnant. LOL

And I'm so sorry you went through that type of day/night. I would have been freaked out with the house being open and dogs out....glad you and baby are okay by the way honey.

Thank you Vicki.... for my beautiful siggie!!!

Does Union Bridge even have it's own police force? Or do you have to wait for State Troopers or County?

Anyway, I'm sure that was scary. I'm glad nothing was taken, though!
