I have a 16x32 contour changing pad. I got a cover that says it will cover up to 16x32 changing pads. I don't like it because, unlike in all the pictures (and in other peoples changing pads I have seen in person) it doesn't seem to actually "fit". It doesn't sink down and take the shape of the pad, but rather, a box. After a couple of uses will it take shape of the changing pad, or is the cover too small? Which brand and size are you using if you *aren't* having this problem? I am thinking about exchanging it for a different one? I might also be picky and crazy... But I want my changing table to look like it has a contour changing pad on it! Not some ugly box!

Yep I have the same problem. I washed my cover so obviously couldn't return it, but I agree with Katie. I have stacked stuff in the center and it has helped it take shape. Once it stretches out it fits fine. I just hope it doesn't revert back to the box shape every time it's washed and dried! I guess once I start having to wash it I will be laying a baby on it multiple times a day and that will keep it stretched?

lol....never used a regular cover....always used a pillow case with a Prefold for under baby....WAY cheaper and since newborns tend to pee or poop during diaper changes a LOT there is no way I would want to spend that kind of money on mulitple covers...

But I also don't care at all what stuff like that looks like...just needs to do the job.

I just bought 3 Summer Ultra Plush Changing pad covers at T.J. Maxx for 5.99 each. They seem to fit well on the changing pad we have and they are soooo soft! .

Here is a link from Amazon: Amazon.com: Basic Comfort Ultra Plush Change Pad Cover - Sage: Baby

It will be fine once you start using it. I have had a few and that are all like that to start and after you wash them.
