Been trying to get on for a while, especially since I've been having a little bit of a problem getting Simon to latch onto the right side... I was wondering if it's possible to have an infection on just one side? My right side is so swollen and in pain, pumping isn't helping, and the milk is all watery and different than the left side! I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, but is there anything I can do now?
Also, the right side is not even leaking... like the let-down doesn't work and self expressing is really hard. Took me what felt like forever to get 1 oz. out...
Breastfeeding is hard and I can certainly see why so many women give up, but I don't want to

Mastitis can most definitely be localized to just one breast. I had it in both but it was worse in my left. I'd definitely get checked out; it can get so bad that you can end up running a very high fever. A lot of times they'll put you on antibiotics and you can still nurse. Warm compresses helped me a LOT before I got to the doctor.

Thank you,
PinkCuppycakeSprinkles, for my beautiful siggy!!

Trying the hot compress, it does feel really nice. Thank you
On the plus side, at least my left side is fine and can produce more than enough for Simon at the moment.
