I woke up this morning and realized that I have 8 more weeks till the baby comes.... instead of being excited about the countdown as usually- i had a mini panic attack. it wasn't until today that i seriously thought about labor and delivery. I can't stop thinking what the process will be like- for the me the worst part is the unknown. when do you go the hospital? All these weird thoughts are popping into my head- like what if if die during the process? what if something is wrong with the baby? what if i am home alone when i start labor? how will i know if i need an epidural and how will it make me feel? will i need an emergency c-section.........yikesss
are these anxiety prone thoughts normal.. especially for a first time mom?

I hope it's normal because I've been having similar thoughts for months now.

I remember my first I hoped & prayed my water would break so I knew for sure when to go to the hospital

LOL

so yes worries & anxiety & fear is all normal even for us BTDT moms

funny story my biggest fear was pooing in front on the Dr's when I pushed LOL
Luckily (?) i had an emergency C-sect

but as i look back what a silly thing to scared of

just remember as your panic starts to increase

Labor is one of those things in life that WE HAVE NO CONTROL OF!

so no good will come from worrying about it

if it happens clean- have sex do anything to take your mind off of it LOL

Very normal! But don't worry, you'll know what to do and you can always call if you're wondering about coming in. Its amazing how your body instinctively knows how to cope! And if you are home alone when you start labor, you usually still have plenty of time to labor on your own before going in. Try to put the other thoughts of emergency c-section and such out of your mind. Worrying won't change the outcome at all Just think about that beautiful baby you'll have!

Totally normal. I realized we have 6-11 weeks (37-42) and promptly flipped out.

Ive been having all the same worries myself. Im one that likes to always be prepared and I know I cant be 100% prepared in this situation. And just the unknown parts of labor scares the crap outta me.

The closer I get the more miserable I feel and the more miserable I feel the more I freak out!

Yep! Totally normal. I haven't really started worrying too much about L&D just yet. I think it's because I have been really occupied lately with the nursery and getting things we need for this little one.

I'm 34 weeks tomorrow and there's a chance I'll be induced early because of my gestational diabetes. Soooo maybe I should start thinking about L&D, lol.

I was freaking as well, I have been having morbid thoughts like if I die during labor as well, I pray my Mom will get my son and not the dead beat. I keep thinking I'll have a heart attack or something why would I think these things?
I am afraid I will go into labor in the middle of the night and I'll have to drive myself to the hospital and be there alone bc my Mom will be at work and she wouldn't be able to get to me and I will have to do it all alone.
