Have you done it yet?

If not when will you?

What baby proofing items will you use?

The only thing I've done so far is put in outlet protectors....but that's mainly because my 15 month old niece comes over sometimes. I don't think I'll do much more...just going to try to keep an eye on my kid when he/she becomes more mobile!

Our house is already babyproofed for the most part.. just outlet covers and chemicals/cleaners out of reach.

Our house was built before codes on railings and we have a BIG project of covering 2 stairwells and a hall. My husband does everything at the last second and thinks he has 6+ months to get it done. But his track record is that it takes 6 months to get stuff done so I'm trying to get him on it now.

Not yet, since Nova won't exactly be mobile right away xD I need to look into baby-proofing though, other than baby gates, outlet covers, and those cupboard latch things, I don't really know what/how to baby-proof. Especially since we have a lot of electronics, which means a lot of cables, cords, and power strips all over the place.

we never really dod things to baby proof except the kitchen cabinets/ drawers. we used to have knob protectors over our oven/ stove knobs. they have been gone for a while now. i will put new ones on in about a year.
most things dont have to be done for like a year.

For my first I didn't baby proof anything until she was mobile. She wasn't going anywhere so why worry?

Our house is no toddler proof so it's all good in this hood.

Not at all. My other 3 are teens and haven't had a baby proofed home in many, many years. I will probably start when baby is starting to get mobile. Other than outlet protectors, I really don't do much else. Our 1/2 bath door always remains closed, so I don't have to worry about her sneaking in and playing in the toliet and our cleaning supplies are not in a low cabinet for a baby to get into.

We will put a walk through gate up across our stairs on the front porch, because I'm sure we'll be spending time out there when she's older.

No worries, we are toddler proofed. We will have to watch the toddler toys though- he is in a throwing phase. I think he will be the biggest danger to #2.

Her room has outlet covers on it (just because it was easy to do as I rearranged/set up her room). I moved some chemicals out from under the sink. I need to finish and do the same upstairs bathroom too (and just adding more outlet covers in the main room).

Our thought is that some of it can wait until she is moving.

Nothing now. We will put a gate @ the top of the stairs, but that's really about it. Most of our outlets have furniture in front of them anyway.

We're as baby proofed as we're going to get. Outlet covers, chemical cabinet is locked up, we have a gate at the top of the stairs and all small toys are out of reach.
