I'm a little stressed, my midwife's going on a well-deserved vacation and is going to be back next Sunday. I was hoping to go into labour before she left, but it doesn't look like that'll happen. I really don't want to have him when she's not around, and I keep dreaming about going to the hospital and having to fill out paperwork because I didn't register and having my baby in the waiting room and then getting a blanket charge for the bill and having the argue on the phone while learning the ropes of taking care of two kids at once.
I DO NOT want to go into labor before she gets back. I don't care if it gets rid of the BH or the pelvic pressure or the swollen feet, I need him to stay put until at least the 26th. Trying to plan for the alternative, especially since my body is so obviously gearing up for labour, but it's definitely something I won't be happy about.
I need your T's&P's, it's going to be a roller coaster of a week, especially if I keep having bouts of false labour.
Thanks for listening. Wish us luck!
Doesn't she have a back up midwife so you won't have to go to the hospital? I hope he stays put for you!
Nope, she just started training one, but the midwife she did back up for passed away recently, so it must not have been an issue.
I guess she's the only midwife in this area. She did say that she's never had a baby come while she was on vacation, hopefully my baby isn't interested in being unique.
