We bought a Diaper Champ (the same diaper pail we had and loved when Abby was a baby) only to discover they changed the design It now has some pretty bad reviews and is A LOT smaller than the original version. What are you using for a diaper pail? Any suggestions for me? I prefer not to use refills if possible and we will be using disposables...

Forever missing our angels...

I hated my diaper pail. Used it for a month and threw it away.

I am getting a couple small regular trash cans (the kind that look like my kitchen one with the sealed lids) and those just use regular shopping bags. By keeping them the small size, we will dump them often which will keep the smell down.

We have a diaper dekor which got good reviews online and in the baby bargains book. We've been using it for two years and you can use either their bags or regular trash bags. It doesn't LOOK like a diaper can either so when we're done using it for diapers it can be a regular trash can. I give it two thumbs up.

Thank you CupcakeJamie for my beautiful siggy!

first I want to say I HATE when a company changes something like that...ugh it is sooo annoying!!!

I use just a standard size kitchen trash can...bags are cheap and easily available...we do use the kind that are suppose to help with the smell...DH says he thinks they work but who knows. I do not like a lid because when I am changing diapers the last think I want to do it have to deal with a lid or anything...I like that I can just throw the diaper right in the trash during the diaper change with one hand and hold on the baby with the other.

We actually fill up the trash can once a day...so it gets taken out before bed every night. But of course that is with 4 in diapers.

We use a diaper genie for poopy diapers upstairs and a normal trash can with a lid for all pee-pee diapers. The diaper genie refills are just too expensive to use for all diapers! I found that our with DS#1!

I was given a diaper genie with DS1. I use regular garbage bags with it. It works like a charm. I never would have bought a diaper genie (or any other specialized pail) but it turns out to be quite a nice thing to have.

I had a diaper genie - never liked it, changed to plain ole diaper bags and never had an issue.

I just bought the Arm and Hammer one from Munchkin. It got really good reviews on the smell issue. We won't be going through a ton of the bags since we're also using cloth diapers. Plus it there's a real doosy, we'll probably just take it right out to the garage trashcan for pick up!

I used a diaper genie with Jr and hated it...this route I got an arm and hammer version which already seems to be much more user friendly.

Thank you GraysMama for my beautiful siggy!

Regular old trash can, and poopie diapers go into a plastic bag, then into the trash. It does get taken out every night since Perry dog likes to dig through it. So it's not a big deal to use the regular one.
