I gave logan his first bath last night and found this.
Its a big hard red lump the size of a quarter above his nipple. I totally started freaking out. Ive never had that on ANY of my kids before so it was a totaly flip out.
Till my friend told me, breastfeeding hormones can do it, so can a cyst. So i calmed down. Still im happy he goes in for his 2 week checkup tomorrow to have the dr look at it.
Its one thing to hear that this can happen to your little boy, its another to see it, its raised almost an inch. So just one of those, it can happen posts, if you see something like that, know that its normal from moms hormones!
All of my kids had a bit of swelling, and I was always warned about it. They say they can actually leak a little bit of milk too. Cooper's were the biggest out of all 5 kids, and I was a little freaked about it, but the pediatrician said it's totally normal, and if he starts leaking, that's normal too, and not to freak out. He did leak a small amount of fluid, and I just ignored it. They have already gone down to normal now. When I talked to the doctor about it, she said she has seen some babies that are 4 times bigger than Cooper's were, and it's still normal.
