With my first, I was totally uptight, was always making sure people were holding her right, if she made a peep, I was right there, etc and this time, I just don't have the time or energy to be so uptight.

Yeah, relaxed. There is no room for upright with a toddler running around...especially when he drives cars on the babys head. Lol.

I'd say somewhere in between? I have my uptight moments for sure and it may be a FTM thing. But overall I'm trying to take it all in stride.

This. I am really anal about clean hands and him being clean... Like I had a friend tell me I'd learn a little spit up is ok, but I CANNOT stand him wearing something with a bodily function gone wrong on it. I do let him fuss a minute or two before I try to console him though, see if he can fix it on his own. I guess it just depends!

I am uptight about germs, but trying to be better about it. Everything else I am fine. But I can't handle germy gross people around him, and I still make everyone wash their hands if they are going to touch him. I am uber protective though, more than I remember being with the other kids, but that could just be that I don't remember since it's been 6 years since I have had a newborn. I do know I will chill out in another month or two.

I'm only uptight when he cries. Germs... meh. Doggy slobber... meh. Spit-up... meh. But if he cries, I'm right there trying to fix whatever's wrong.

Yeah, it really depends on who is around him. If it's my family, as in anyone but my mother and brother, I watch him and them like a hawk. But they're all nutters, so I like to think that's understandable. I'm relaxed with most other things, though.

I'm a mix of both depending on who is around. My family I'm fine my sister was beyond uptight and trained them all well my 4 yo nephew is the wash your hands police too. Utterly adorable (when my 10 month old nephew was born the nurse at the hospital told the 4 yo that it was his job to make sure everyone who wants to touch him has clean hands and he has carried that on to Emmett as well)
Our friends are all fine it's just DH's immediate family (his dad's side extended family is mostly OK, His mother's side extended all are know it all trashy folks who we despite his mothers complaints avoid), they are a bunch of blithering idiots so they probably think it was uptight that I wouldn't go to an out door party in 90+ degree heat with like 50+ people to pass Emmett around the day we were released from the hospital.

I am in the middle. I am relaxed around our family but a certain family member is not allowed to see Brodie at all. Chris is much more protective of the big guy, lol.
