That's a good idea. Though I had a way harder time keeping track of socks once my daughter was around 1 LOL

Exactly what the other ladies are saying. A mesh bag is a life saver for little socks, mittens etc.

Yep, I always stick all baby socks in one of those bags. Very handy!

I was gonna say the wash bag too. I have one for my bras so i just throw all the baby socks and mittens in there and throw in the wash. It's good for DS's socks too!

I do the same thing.

btw, look on either side of the washer/dryer and under it on the front. It's really easy to drop stuff while you're transferring from washer to dryer.

I can't tell you how many socks I found when I moved the washer and dryer when we moved. Too bad I'd already thrown away the matches! lol

LOL. I swear every time I read this thread title I read it as "Lost baby in the wash already!" Somebody call child services!

And mesh bags = awesome.

Check inside the other clothes, maybe they got stuck in there.

Net wash baf and definitely check the clothes - sleeves, legs, and inside the sleep sacks. I lost a sock from DD (couldn't find it for months) and found it when I was unpacking clothes for DS, 2 years later!

I just buy extra, they turn up eventually-my fl washer likes to eat anything smaller than an adult sock but gets full and spits it out at some point
