Preface: tues-thurs I was having some random tingling, numb sensations in my arms & hands along with just not feeling "myself". So I called my nurses line thursday afternoon. She asked me all the questions that seemed related to preeclampsia, all my answers were "no" so I decided to hold off going in because I had a scheduled appt the following day.
Thus, friday comes along.....nurse weighs me, takes my BP and asks me how ive been. Well, I obviously filled her in on my symptoms from the week but i was very curious about my BP. she said its higher than its been at my previous appts but nothing to worry about. SO my wait began and finally my OB comes in. The first thing she asks, "are you eating okay?" --uhm, yeah. Apparently I havent gained since my last appt 4wks ago. The mirrior and myself seem to disagree with that statement but the scale doesn't lie. She explained that nutrients go straight to baby, so he's not in harm but that I would feel better if I added a few more snacks into my day...no arguing here. LOL
So on to induction topic.. My parents are 3000 miles away and are trying to plan their trip up to be here before, during & after mason arrives. Being a FTM i have no track record to base things off but I just dont see myself lasting until my EDD of august 25th. Regaurdless, she will only plan an induction if I reach 41wks (sept 1). ughhhhh!
I feel you on the induction issue- I don't want to have to be induced- personal reasons mostly as well as medical. But, my parents are 2700 miles away and I want them here as close to her birth as possible, so not sure how that's going to work. I have a peri appt w/ ultrasound Wednesday early morning then a couple hours later, an appt with my OB, so I'm hoping to get a few more answers since we'll know how big she is, etc. I hope it works out for both of us!
