We had Sophia in for her check-up today, she's down to 7lbs, 15 oz (she was 8lbs, 11 oz at birth), but the nurse said that's normal.. her jaundice levels are high though Right now we're sitting at 295, if it had been 300 we would've been sent home with a bili (sp?) bed for her. As it is, we're back for another check of her levels tomorrow, and we're really hoping for improvement!

We were hoping to, and we got her in the light as much as possible, but it's been a really dreary, rainy day here so we haven't had much sunlight

Aw my Ava has jaundice as well. Low level so we are doing the sunlight thing. Over the weekend she looked a little more yellow and her eyes are yellow. She has another appt tomorrow to check levels. She is breastfed, so it does nit come out in her pee and poo as quick as formula fed babies. I hope both these little princesses get well soon!!

hope the levels go down fast..!! have u tried keeping her in the sun.. not direct.. but through a window glass or something..!
cos it helped my dd1 when she had slight jaundice..!

i used to keep per on just a diaper and carry her and stand near the window.. that way she didnt get exposed to direct sunlight.. i dont know if its medically recommended or not. but thats what i did..!!

That's what the nurse recommended, but it was really overcast yesterday. This morning has been better so we've been sitting with her some.

We're home now actually, our hospital has the bili beds that you can take home with you.

I'll update you all after her appointment this afternoon!
