Sine I live 45 mins from the hosp I can't just call them and go over. I have to really think if it's worth it to even contemplate going in, or even calling for that matter.

so I like to arm myself with facts, since they will ask. how many contractions and how often.

so I can have contractions for what seems like hours, then I decide to start writing them down to keep track so when I call I have my info handy. and after like 3 or 4. they stop....

Please tell me I'm not the only one that happens to

My body doesn't do much of anything lol, but at this point I probably wouldn't call or go in unless I was positive I was in labor.

Im trying to stay on top of it, and head in in early labor due to the drive and the fact I am driving myself. so no laboring at home for me if I can help it

My last 2 labors have been pretty quick, and I may be driving myself as well. Luckily, after contraction #2, I know I'm in labor and I call on the way to the hosp. (I am 1 hr away, plus I have to drop my kids at my sisters, AND if DH can get me, then it will be a 2 hr trip)

I am with you. I live 45 minutes also from the hospital... SO I hate to have to drive if it is nothing... It seems like my contractions pick up at night .. So I can have 5 in one hour ,but I wait till I go to bed and If I can fall asleep I know it is not time... Last night I was up a lot and was about to call then I realized I feel asleep in the chair.. Glad that I did not call !!

I'm there. My hospital is only 15 minutes away. However, I experience contractions and not really pay attention to them, but then when I begin to think about them and timing them, they slow down. I keep wondering if this baby is just messing with me for her entertainment.

Yes! Every time I think I need to call my doc, the contractions taper off!

I always debate going to the hospital, not because it's far, but because it can take awhile to get a sitter... if I can't I sit around debating taking Kairi or not... which I never want to do.

Oh, and get yourself a contraction app! Writing them down has got to suck!
