We'll be offering a pacifier, because it's easier to take away than a thumb; we've bought two different kinds, so hopefully one of those will work. Jenna has sucked her tongue since the day she was born so that's her source of comfort, but she would randomly take a pacifier mostly to calm herself down then she'd spit it out. She stopped using it around 3 or 4 months old.

We bought Tommee Tippee ones that were recommended to us from a friend. We are first time parents, and I just figure if she likes them she can have them to make her stop crying. If she doesn't, we will just try other ones. And if she doesn't like those, no soothers for her lol

i offered to both tori and caden. neither seem to want it. in a way i am relieved as i dont cherish the thought of a 4 year old with a nuk LOL, but it would be nice to find a soother.

caden seems to like his thumb an awful lot....

I saw about a 5 or 6 year old child with one in Wal-Mart awhile back ... I took Bella's NUK from her when she was 1yr, she cried for a week or two but got over it eventually...

My oldest dd took a Nuk, but gave it up at 8 months. The others really didn't like them. I will offer this baby one, but we'll see.
