Hi ladies!! I hope everyone is feeling as well as they possibly can given this late point in our pregnancies! I'm sorry that I don't post as much as I used to, but I don't have much time at work and JM doesn't seem to cooperate when i'm at home.
Anyway, I was wondering if any of you suffer from psoriasis, pregnant or otherwise, or if you know anyone that has. I am having a flare up right now, which was a fear of mine and despite my OB saying topicals are fine, my dermatologist says NO. I can't even enjoy my pregnant belly because of how unsightly is is (no bare belly pics for me). Any help or words of encouragement??? TIA!!!
I have psoriasis also, it just started a couple years ago out of nowhere! I don't have it bad though, just a patch on my scalp which has gone away since being pregnant but I have it under my nails. It's horrible and embarrassing. My nails aren't deformed or anything but they have yellowish spots underneath and some are separating from the nail bed. Unfortunately there is nothing I can do about it, the dermatologist said it's basically incurable. I just hope it doesn't get too bad...Very painful even hurts to wear nail polish.
Popping in from the Sept. DDC. My BF has psoriasis and I have eczema. Both my original OB and my current OB said that it was fine to take topical corticosteroids as long as I don't put it on 10 times a day, kwim? My BF actually uses the same ointment that was prescribed to me by my OB. My BF also uses Elta-Tar which is non-prescription and also takes Vitamin D supplements and that helps him with the itching and flare-ups. He has severe psoriasis.
