Had my OB appt today and we reviewed the ultrasound together and she says.... There have been absolutely zero cervical changes in almost two months of tons of contractions (all the way long and fully closed) so my doctor is confident that my being *a little* active won't make things worse. I'm still not allowed to do anything that brings them on (any lifting, walking for more than a min or two, or standing for much more than five min) BUT I am no longer grounded to the house (yipee!). As long as I rest everytime I get contractions I am free to go about my day doing as much as I feel comfortable. I know I still don't have much leeway to be active but this takes a huge weight off that I can at least do whAt I need to to take care of my son.

I feel so much better just not having the label of "bedrest" on me, even though I still can't do very much lol. I also got some good news considering birth - despite my GD the babies are growing right where they should be (not too small which is a worry with twins, and not too big which is a worry with GD) SO we are going to schedule the c-section for 38 weeks instead of 36! That gives me 2 extra weeks to go into labor on my own! (For a little back story - had a BIG problem with my pitocin induction last time and almost died so i refuse to do an induction). So barring any complications I have until then to have my water break and labor on my own or we will schedule a csection (which doesn't bother me much, although I would like the experience of giving birth since we are done after this.)

I ALSO found out that as long as the first baby is head down they will still attempt a vaginal delivery with #2 even if she's breech! Lots of drs won't do that anymore so that was very exciting to hear All in all a great day! Sorry it took me so long to update here, I haven't been able to be on the computer all day until now.

I thought that I had responded to this already. Lol. But I don't see a response. That is absouletly great news. You'll be so greatful to be able to leave the house. I get contactions when I stand a lot, so I just make sure to sit & rest after awhile. I agree with the ladies that said take it easy drink lots of water. It sounds like you're headed in the right direction though. WooHoo for healthy babies!

That's awesome Coley!! How are you feeling otherwise? I wish my OB would let me deliver vaginally if only one was head down, but he says they both have to be head down. Which is a bummer! Good luck with keeping them baking for a couple more weeks than you thought
