I just can't believe something like this can happen. It gives me shutters to just think about what this poor family went though.

This was my nightmare.. I have just contacted The magic Valley Newspaper to
send me copies of the stories they did on Gage after he was born. He was sent
home, and it wasnt found until a month later when I rushed him to the ER with
Bruising from My ITP.. They had no clue what ITP was and thought i was making
stuff up, they said I beat him, and twisted his leg. When I tried to explain that he
had favored that leg since the day he was born, they Told me I was lying and
covering my *****.. So I know all too well that you are guilty till proven innocent in
CPS's eyes.. This article has made me think I might be able to get stuff done
about it and no one else will have to go through this again.. I see my son often,
but I have not had custody of him since this happened in 1998. Sucks that hes
the one that suffers in the long run for this..

Yeah, we took DS to the urgent care last week b/c our dog "bit him" - I quote that b/c his tooth really hit his arm - just a very small puncture wound he got while they where playing. He just needed to have it cleaned and have an antibiotic to be sure it did not get infected. But the doctors treated us really rudely - like we have a vicious dog or something and we are endangering our child - it was crazy and they made me cry (of course, I am PP . I shudder to thing what they do to parents when something serious happens!! Its scary!
