And then officially no more babies for me! I'm anxious about it.

I've been trying like crazy to get Keelan to take a bottle, but that's still a no-go. I had to get special permission from the hospital to have him with me in pre-op so that I could nurse him just before they took me back. I'm having some sedation (Versed, I think) and I know the anesthesiologist is going to recommend waiting 24 hours to breastfeed, but that is just not possible. My doc said I could after 2-3 hours post-op so I'm hoping Keelan will hold off till then. I will have a few bottles of expressed milk ready to go, just in case we get desperate (or Neely does) while I'm in surgery or shortly after.

good luck!

I know after mine they said 24 hour pump and dump. I never did. Bob was a little sleepy because of it but she and I survived.

When my sister had hers, she was nursing and I know she never gave a bottle. I wonder what she did. I'll have to ask her.
