If they need it, we do it . And it never became a longterm "habit" for my first two

I figure that being cuddled is as much a NEED for an infant as food is so I will always provide as much contact as they need to feel loved and safe and comforted. And by the time my kids turn two, good luck even getting them to cuddle long enough for a hug

Do you let your lo sleep on you at nap or bed time? I do for nap time and then after some feedings I fall aslepp with Wilton on me in the bed. He will sleep for about 3 hours that way. It is soooo hard to stay awake sometimes while I am burping him or getting him back to sleep. I know this is a bad habit though.

Absolutely! They are only so little and snuggly for a short time, I don't want to miss out on baby naps. We don't do every nap or sleep that way, but sometimes we do!

We do all the time. I love baby snuggled and naked or skin to skin contact are very important at this age. Before we know it they will be teenagers and not want us around. I am enjoying every snuggly moment.

If it just the two of us at home during the day, I let him nap on me while I watch something on Netflix or use the computer. If the older kids are home, he will nap on the couch, in a carrier with me or in the pack n play. He sleeps in bed with me at night.

We co-sleep, so she is in bed with me all night long, but I also try to take at least one nap a day with her - and this is usually with her on my chest. My husband likes to cuddle her to his chest when she's sleeping, too.

It depends. I do it sometimes if i'm going to nap too and I sometimes sleep with her at night when DH isn't home. He's very anti-co-sleep so it dosen't happen when he's home.

She naps on me during the day on the couch and after early morning feedings I've been putting her in bed between me and DH. She sleeps much more soundly with us.

Fallon sleeps on me for naps and when falling asleep. She sleeps in her bassinet at night though. However, I will bed share/cosleep if she needs to, as I did with DS.

Zoe has reflux issues and is often uncomfortable on her back and so she often sleeps better on her tummy and so I put her on my tummy or she will sleep on her daddy's tummy.

I do sometimes. Her first couple of nights at home the only way she'd sleep is on me or DH's chest. She now sleeps mostly in her bassinet but sometimes when she won't go back to sleep right away we put her in bed with her and she usually enjoys it. I sometimes will take a nap with her cuddled next to me or have her in bed with me once DH leaves for work.

Yes, Carson LOVES to sleep on my chest, it's his favorite spot and often times the only way I can get a few minutes of shut eye during the day! At night I have to like curl around him otherwise he can't sleep, he likes to be close to someones body!

Roan is almost always sleeping on me, or DH! He's super fussy at night (either from gas or the hernias) so I tend to hold him from 5am on just to make sure he's getting that sleep. If we're not able to hold him, we lay him on his tummy on our bed so he at least has the comfort of our scent to put him to sleep. Works super well! And then I can curl up beside him and we can nap together!

yep, I agree with enjoying this time while it lasts. I also want DD to be able to sleep other places too, so she'll nap in her bouncy seat or wherever, and always the bassinet at night.
