When I lived by myself, I often wouldn't turn the heater on unless it got to 60 in the house and even then, it was usually only in the mornings so I would turn it on just while I was getting ready for work.
Now that I'm living with SO, we will have the heat on, but we have the timers set so it comes on higher later in the evening. I honestly can't even remember what temp we keep it at. 75 maybe? At the rate we are going this year, we may never have to turn it on!!

How do you keep warm? Do you crank up the heat? Use your fireplace? Warm bath? Or do you actually like being cold?
We put an electric blanket on our bed and get out our heavy comforter. The electric bill is ridiculous and our heater is not very efficient so we try not crank it up too high. We put a small heater in the nursery and pretty soon we will get our large space heater for the living room. We also have a fireplace. We like fires but that smell lingers for days when we start one.
Also, anytime I use the oven. I open it when I turn it off so the heat comes out while it cools down. No use wasting hot air!
well it's get Pretty cold here. But our house isn't very efficient. So in the summer the heater is Never on. We turn it off about april. Only just in the last few weeks have we turned it on.
We like the house cooler. So our thermastat just stays constant at about 18/19 which i think is in the 60's in F.
We all like it cool. Even DS1 will sleep with no covers & just a diaper if it's much warmer. Last year we sweated all winter because we had to keep the house extra warm for Kolton (on mw recommendations we kept the temp @ 22' + had the fireplace on a lot)
