Our Addison Elizabeth arrived on Friday, 11.11.11 at 8:32 pm, weighed 6 lbs. 6 oz., and is 19.5 inches long. While I went to the hospital for an induction at 5 am that morning, we were in for a few surprises to our day. I'll share my birth story in a day or two when I am more rested.
Addison's nasal passages are very narrow, and she had a stomach full of amniotic fluid in combination with some reflux (the pediatrician thinks) so she has been a slow starter for breastfeeding. She has cluster fed tonight for almost 3 hours with spaces of about twenty minutes between, so my milk is probably coming in tonight. We go tomorrow for our follow up and to see the lactation consultant.
We are so in love with our precious baby, and she fits into our family perfectly. Her sister is taken with her and has not been jealous for one second. Here is a picture. It is huge, so I'm only posting one for now. More to come with my birth story.
