I went to the dr today because I kept feeling pressure down there and was told that I have a cervical prolapse. Basically my cervix has dropped into my vajayjay. My dr told me it was because my son was so big and he came so fast that he weakened my pelvic muscles. He did tell me to do pelvic tilts and kegel exercises to move it back into place, but it still feels weird. Surgery is also an option but I'll use it as my last option. I was just wondering has anyone else had this issue?

Yep, I do. I assume that mine is from spraining my pelvic muscles a few weeks before delivering. My doctor told me there wasn't really anything to worry about and it feels like it's returned to normal now. I was sitting on the toilet at the hospital and looked down expecting to pass a big clot and my cervix was actually hanging OUT of my vagina. I called the nurse in and she didn't even know what it was, I had to tell her "Um, that's my cervix..." which the doctor confirmed. I was really concerned, it looks so wrong!

Did you do anything specific to get it back in to place? I am super concerned even though my dr was telling me its common and not really something to worry about. But just knowing its that far down and I can feel it bothers me.

He had me lay down and just pushed it up. It would only feel heavy when I tried to go to the bathroom after that and now it's back to normal.

So your doctor pushed it back up? And just doing that it stayed in place?

He pushed it back up but when I would sit to potty, the pushing would make it come back down but he said time itself would heal it and it has. It actually seemed to get better as my pelvis started to feel better and happened a lot quicker than he said (he suggested it would take about 4-6 weeks for the muscles to strengthen).

One of the suggested 'treatments' for it is kegel exercise and anything else that will work your pelvic muscles.

Just lurking from the Oct DDC, but I had that with my 4th child and it was pretty bad. Had me so worried for future pregnancies, but it healed just like pp said, on it's own. Mine actually came all the way out as well, but after about 2mos pp, it went up like it should. I have since had two more baby's and never experienced that again. Like you, my 4th came TOO quick, one push, and I had no epi to control the pushing......that has alot to do with it.
