I feel like maybe Taylor is getting bored with her same old lunches. Right now she usually takes 2 fruits for lunch so anything like Cantaloupe, avocado, blueberries, grapes, bananas, peaches, pears, or apples. She also sometimes takes Pasta. So my question is, what are some other things I can pack for her for lunch that are finger foods? Maybe 1 fruit and something else? AND, we think she may have a dairy either allergy or at the least is sensitive to it so we've been staying clear of milk/eggs/cheese unless the milk is baked, she seems to be ok with that.

Is anyone feeding their LO's more processed foods? I haven't really given her any yet.

Thanks!

Michael eats anything we eat these days... some stuff we ease up the spice on.

Hmm - finger foods.. how bout peas/green beans/carrots?? I'm not good at figuring out finger foods myself! There are those pasta pickups (little raviolis) if you are ok with her having something like that? They are by gerber - Michael and his cousin Kai both love them (kai is a picky eater - Michael not so much) and they are finger foods.

When you say processed foods - what type of foods are you thinking???

I was going to say peas or carrots as well. Little pieces of chicken? black beans, or other soft cooked beans.

She usually gets veggies for dinner. I'm nervous about the Rav's because they have cheese in them.

When I say processed foods, I mean like premade stuff like mac N cheese, or chef boyarede, pouches of like rice/pasta's that you just add milk/water to....that kind of stuff.

Do all the raviolis have cheese in them? I know there are some chicken and carrot, and turkey and veggie ones - not sure if they contain cheese too?

I would think that some of those processed foods would be fine. I wouldn't do it all the time.. but an occasional mac and cheese etc. I don't think would hurt! But - like I said - I feed Michael almost anything now - and I know that your worried about your history of food allergies so it does make it a bit tougher!

Let me know what other ideas you come up with - I have very little idea on the finger foods! Fruit/veggies/ravioli/pancakes/bread is all I've got!

Oh - just googled the incrediants - and the carrot and chicken ones have ricata cheese in them. Poo.

mini pasta stars with marinara and little grilled chicken pieces.... ditto on peas and carrots.. otherwise, I feed him the ol' oatmeal with diced bananas, or chunks of avocado.

I need to start introducing my LO to different foods too..

Edit: Oh, and my LO loves baked turkey (he devoured tons of it during thanksgiving). Mashed potatoes are also great.

I second the beans idea. DD loves black beans especially. She also likes spoon fulls of hummus and little chunks of chicken.

natalie loves chicken with rice and peas. That girl would eat peas all day long if you let her. She also loves broccoli, cauliflower, chicken, pizza, tacos. her day care provides lunch for her. I will try to pay better attention to what they make. I wouldn't have the first clue she could eat everything she does if day care wasn't feeding it to her.
