How long do we feed LO the baby rice/oatmeal cereal? Taylor is still gobbling hers up but wondered at what point do we start doing more traditional breakfast and stop with the baby cereal.

I do a mix of fruit and oatmeal from Gerber. My pedi said that he didn't have to have cereal after 6 months, you can do other things. I think that at this point, you can start giving other foods. I just do the Gerber because it is easier to take to daycare.

You can probably start doing regular oatmeal. I still am using baby stuff because it's easier to mix in things.

I was wondering this too! Great question! I was thinking after he is off the breast milk - since I mix in the leftover morning bottle into his cereal yet!

I like it because 1, it's easy for daycare and 2, I mix it with prune juice so it keeps her going.....guess this will be one more thing she will be eating into her teens because Mom doesn't like change

I'm going to feed LO oatmeal for as long as he likes it. It's healthy and like one of the ladies mentioned, it keeps them regular.

Otherwise, I've ventured into feeding my LO scrambled eggs (with a bit of cheddar cheese), mini pancakes, and tiny pieces of sausage (I know it's not healthy, but I only feed it to him once in a while)

I usually give Natalie baby oatmeal and cut up fruit for breakfast on the weekends. Day care feeds them english muffins, oatmeal, toast, pancakes. Pretty much everything.
