More fundamental than religion is our basic human spirituality. We have a basic human disposition towards love, kindness and affection, irrespective of whether we have a religious framework or not. When we nurture this most basic human resource – when we set about cultivating those basic inner values which we all appreciate in others, then we start to live spiritually. - Dalai Lama
I sing - lots and lots of campfire songs. Lol. She heard lots of music in utero as well, since we were at camp all summer. She does quiet down a bit when I sing. We also read books together - my husband laughs, but still will sit and listen.
We read and sing to DD1 all the time, and she listens to music for every nap time and bed time. I sing to Emily, but I feel a little guilty I haven't done the music yet with her. I will tonight because I finally downloaded a new book so I can read while listening to music and nursing!
We haven't played our instruments for her yet because I'm taking a break! I haven't touched my violin in weeks. I'll probably start practicing again in a week or so and then she'll have no choice but to listen to me!
